Profile

Degree (BA Hons) in German & Linguistics (1st). I studied German and Linguistics at the University of Leeds 2014-2018, graduating with a first class degree and a distinction in spoken German.

My love for German started in Year 9 at Stratton Upper School, and I continued that love for it through to university! At Stratton, I took part in a German exchange programme and am still in touch with my exchange partner now.

Advice to students

Particularly if you're considering going to university, apply for a subject that YOU love and are passionate about. Most careers don't need you to have a degree in a specific subject, so choose the course that's right for you, rather than worrying about careers afterwards (unless your chosen career requires a specific degree!).
