Profile

After leaving TFS at the end of Year 13, I went on to study Chemistry at Sheffield Hallam University. During my time at university I worked as a waitress at Wagamama, I loved this job and all the free staff meals!

I graduated after 3 years with a 2:1 and went straight into teaching. I’ve been teaching science in secondary schools around Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire, and even came back to TFS for a little over 2 years. I’ve worked as a classroom teacher, a second in department, a lead practitioner. Now I am head of science at EWS which is really fun.

Advice to students

You don’t have to have everything all worked out by the end of year 11 and it is perfectly normal to change your mind, multiple times! I walked out of my last GCSE science exam thinking I would never study science again, and now I teach it all day, every day!
