Profile
I am currently working as a Senior Edit Assistant for a High End TV company called Zinc Media (working for Bumblebee Post Production a part of Zinc Media). I have worked and I am credited on various BBC documentaries such as ‘Putin Vs The West’, ‘Deborah James: Bowelbabe in Her Own Words’ and ‘Russell Brand: In Plain Sight’, additionally credited and worked on large long running TV programme ‘Bargain Loving Brits in the Sun’ for Channel 5, as well as various other Channel 5 and Channel 4 Programmes. I work closely with the Head of Post Production to oversea the Edit Assistant team at Bumblebee Post Production ensuring programmes run through Post Production smoothly, ingesting filmed footages, archival material, physically configuring the edit suites, ensuring programmes go through full quality control checked as well as delivering them to their distributors or TV channels.
I am currently shortlisted for ‘Young Talent of the Year (Post Production)’ an award hosted by Broadcast Tech and Innovation awards which are on 29th November 2023 where I will be 1 of 7 in the UK up for the award which I will hopefully go on to win! The shortlist is judged by a big panel of industry specialists who believe I am among the top young people currently working in Post Production which for myself is a huge achievement.
Advice to students
You sometimes struggle to know what to do in life and what path to go down, I know I definitely did especially during my GCSEs and A-Levels, but once you find that specific thing you will know because you will enjoy working, you will put 100% of your drive and passion into it. They say when you find what you enjoy doing you never work a day in your life and I do agree completely!
