Profile

After leaving Sixth Form, I attended the University of Roehampton where I gained my BA in Dance Studies. The course I completed focused on contemporary dance, both practice and theory.

Having completed my Undergraduate Degree during the COVID 19 pandemic, I was looking for a career path that allowed me to explore my passion for working with communities. I completed my MA in Social Work at Liverpool Hope University. I completed my 70 Day Placement at a day centre for adults with complex needs, before completing my final placement in a Special Guardianship Team within a local authority.

Having finished my degree, I joined Sefton’s Social Work Academy to completed my Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) and I am now due to join Sefton’s Help and Protect Team where I will work as a Social Worker supporting families on Child in Need and Child Protection Plans.

Advice to students

Choose a career path that you are passionate about, there is a job out there for everyone so don’t be afraid to explore different opportunities and find something that excites you
